I am a native Texan and a native Houstonian and will soon be living part time ( for now) in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just outside of Blanco Texas.
I have been married longer than most of my brides have been alive ( 48 years in June)
Is it time to hang up my time-lines and retire??
So many of my fellow planners are trying to juggle careers, babies, marriage. They seem to do it all really well and they have my admiration and when I can I try to cheer them on. At some point though I have come to believe this is the perfect time for me to keep working. My babies are 45 & 28 years old and despite some fumbling on my part they have become wonderful men. I have come to understand that I have a wealth of knowledge after 20 years in the business. I still love what I do & I can pick and choose the weddings and brides I want to work with.
I have Grey( covered up of course) and Grace and I'm really learning to love and appreciate it.
So for right now I'm a seasoned wedding planner who can make sure my brides are cared for and loved on in this very special time in their lives. I can make sure there is time to play with my grandbabies and to slip away for fun with my husband.
My goal is to continue to learn and grow my wedding planning skills as I continue to learn and grow as a daughter of the King.
